Cheapest Cities for Digital Nomads (2026)
Every city we cover, ranked cheapest-first by its real all-in monthly cost of living for one remote worker. Not just rent — a full month: studio, groceries, eating out, transport, coworking, gym, and phone.
95 cities ranked · updated July 2026. Figures are USD for a solo nomad; a couple sharing costs pays less per person.

What's in the monthly number
Every figure is a realistic all-in budget for one remote worker — not a bare-bones survival number and not a luxury one. It bundles:
- · A private studio or one-bed rental
- · Groceries + eating out a few times a week
- · Local transport
- · A coworking membership
- · A gym
- · A mobile phone plan
Sharing rent with a partner, cooking more, or skipping coworking pulls your real number well below the figure shown. Use it to compare cities on a like-for-like basis, not as a fixed quote.
Cheapest isn't automatically best
A rock-bottom cost only matters if the internet is fast, the city is safe, and you can legally stay. That's why the table also shows each city's nomad score and wifi speed — and every city page adds safety, visa, and climate detail. Weigh cost against all of it before you book a flight.
